Quartz has released the orchestra’s complete cycle of the Beethoven symphonies, QTZ2170: six discs, six hours and thirteen minutes, conducted by Rimma Sushanskaya.

The Ninth is sung by Jennifer Davis, Bethany Horak-Hallett, Sam Furness and Stephan Loges with the Brighton Festival Chorus. The set was recorded across the 2024 concert cycle — five concerts between February and November, four of them at Smith Square, and the Ninth at Cadogan Hall on 7 May, two hundred years to the day after the symphony’s first performance in Vienna.

The label bills it as the first complete Beethoven symphonies to be recorded and issued as a boxed set by a female conductor.

The set is available on CD and as a download from Presto Music.
