How the orchestra handles personal data.
Data protection
The National Symphony Orchestra holds personal data relating to musicians including names, addresses, contact details, dates of birth, national insurance numbers and bank details, in order to engage them for work and to pay them.
Personal data is held on a secure server and access to that information is restricted to the minimal number of NSO staff needed to administer it.
This policy is in line with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and does not pass personal data to advertising networks. Traffic is measured without cookies, so no consent banner is required.
Enquiries
If you send an enquiry through this site, the name, organisation, email address, telephone number and message you provide are stored so that we can reply to you. They are not used for anything else and are not shared.
The mailing list
If you sign up to hear from the orchestra, your email address is stored so that we can send you occasional news about concerts and recordings. We record which page you signed up from and the wording you agreed to, and nothing else.
Your address is not passed to third parties and is not used for anything other than that mailing. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove you at any time using the address below.
