Father Brown
The BBC series drawn from G. K. Chesterton’s stories, running since 2013, scored throughout by Debbie Wiseman — one of the longest composer relationships in British television.
The National Symphony Orchestra recorded the scores, with Justin Pearson playing solo cello and contracting the musicians.
Wiseman has been a constant in this orchestra’s work: The Musical Zodiac, The Glorious Garden, the Mythos suite at Abbey Road with Stephen Fry, To Olivia at AIR Lyndhurst, and the score for Viking’s twenty-fifth anniversary.
The preview above, published by WOSU Public Media, is from “The Dance of Death”, an episode in which Justin Pearson appears on screen.
