Book 2026

Wilde

Brian Gilbert’s 1997 biopic of Oscar Wilde, with Stephen Fry in the title role and Jude Law as Lord Alfred Douglas. Debbie Wiseman composed, orchestrated and conducted the score, and the sessions were held at EMI Abbey Road Studios.

Justin Pearson plays the solo cello line and co-ordinated the strings. The score was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and is voted into Classic FM’s Top 100 Movie Music Chart by its listeners most years.

The clip is the one Justin Pearson links from their own site.
